Vineyard Notes:
Our Mason Sauvignon Blanc is from a single vineyard called Blockhouse in Yountville, a growing region well suited for producing elegant Sauvignon Blanc because of its cool evening maritime influence and warm days. Located in the heart of the valley floor, we’ve hand selected fruit from this block for over 18 years- leafing the morning side for mottled light, leaving the afternoon side shaded to protect from burn.
Winemaking Notes:
100% Sauvignon Blanc, Mason Sauvignon Blanc has long been heralded for its varietal trueness and exemplary balance. 15% barrel fermentation in French and American oak, the wine was left on the less for 3 ½ months to enhance the mouthfeel. The remaining 85% was cold, stainless tank fermented to accentuate the fruit in the nose and mouth.
Tasting Notes:
This wine has an elegant, floral, fruity nose with flavors of grapefruit, fig, and peaches. This is a very clean wine in the mouth and finishes smooth. A wonderful wine for food pairing as it will compliment many different flavors.
